Jayden’s schedule yesterday…

  • Woke at 9am. Breakfast feed. Barney. Bath. Church.
  • Home again, Feed number 2. Barney. Sleep @ 2.30pm.
  • Wake 5pm. Barney. Feed number 2.5.
  • Out with grandparents @ AMK Hub. Play play play play.
  • Home again. Bath. Feeding time again.
  • Power nap 10pm - 12am (*SOBS*)
  • Feed, Barney. Play, cry. Fuss… 3.15am — sleep.

How to work with such a kid?! Who takes power naps at 10pm?!

  1. You might want to look into your pre-bedtime ritual. Does he watch TV, play rowdily, run around? He’ll sleep better if he winds down about 1-1.5 hours before bedtime.

  2. Definitely start establishing a bedtime routine and keep to it. He will take a while to adjust to it but please persevere. The current routine can’t be good for the boy and for you. Try not to be out too late at night too.

  3. Jean / Angela :: oddly enough, there has been no change. things usually wind down for 1 hour (at least) before sleep and there is a routine. the boy just changes accordingly.

    he shifted sleep time to 10plus for a week and now, readjusted it to 12am.

    not the best, but i’d take it to 2am any day.
