sorry…

To…

  1. everyone who was at the Singapore Food Fair on Friday (afternoon)
  2. those terrorised by the loud wailing outside Hall 3
  3. all the commuters of the (same) Bus 24 around 7pm
  4. the lady who sat next to us from Expo till Paya Lebar

We apologise for the little dynamo named Jayden. We know he was whacking everyone who was obstructing his path at the expo. We know it is quite painful to get hit by the red ‘drumstick’ that he swings about with such gusto. We are usually the victims of his attack.

Also we apologise for the loud wailing that occurred as a result of a diaper change. We had no choice as we could not find a diaper change station / baby room soon enough. We do not know why but he ALWAYS screams his head off at diaper changes. You would think he would be happy to be rid of a stinky smelly diaper but no. Somehow he does not show his appreciation very well.

For our fellow passengers on Bus 24, we thank you… the three aunties who entertained him and took care of him for quite a stretch. We are grateful for the respite you gave us from dealing with such an active kid. Our only regret is we forgot to get your contact numbers. Especially since we got off at the same stop!

Our sincerest apologies to the lady sitting next to us. We sensed your fear and how you tried to shrink into the side of the bus. We hope that the short encounter with Jayden has not sworn you off having children in future. We apologise but the bus was pretty full and there was no other vacant seat. We really tried our best to prevent him from whacking but I think Jayden was only trying to be friendly. He tapped you on the shoulder to get your attention remember?

All in all, we are still training him on etiquette but hope that his cheeky face would make you forget the crazy irritating things he does.

Sincerely,
Jayden’s family
