Jayden’s face broke out in some red spots… which turned out to be insect bites. We went ahead with the 12 month dose of jabs amd he is feverish now. Hot, 38degrees but still with loads of energy. If you were not touching him, you would not realise that he is burning inside.

Granted, he was a little out of sorts but not acting as ’sickly’ as I imagined he would be. Last night he fussed and kept pulling at the cooling pad-sticker we slapped on his head. The fever went by 2am but came back again this afternoon. (No wonder he was so quiet in his high chair…!) By mid afternoon, he had ‘adjusted to the heat’ and was back to his perky self, abeit a couple of degrees more hot.

Oh, after a hiatus of weird conversations with the paed, yesterday’s visit yielded… (when asked whether there was a need to supplement his diet).

“Don’t need lah. This is Singapore. You don’t see babies dying except in accidents and such. They all go attend Primary 1.”

Oh. Status check :: 8.3kg as of 31st Jan 08. Still small. Heh.
