Dear Jayden,

you are becoming more attentive to the surroundings when you are wakeful. Previously, when you were awake, you would be intent on scanning faces or turning your head towards any noise. Noise of any kind appeased you, comforted you even, that there were people around and you were not alone in your cot. These days however, you would cry for the sake of crying. You start trying to figure out the different sounds you can make and what would draw attention to yourself. You also cry to get us to carry you so that you can have a change of environment.

We have hung the mobile from Aunty Mong up on your “daybed” and its a delight as you watch it from underneath. The colourful animals spin abovehead and you are enthralled by them all. Even when you go to our room, we have set up the activity mat on the bed so that you can flail your arms at them. Its wonderful seeing you discover your hands and feet… and that these “things” are actually attached to your body. LOL.

There is lots more to discover dear lil one… you will enjoy it though daddy and I are not quite sure we are ready for it.
